Zack Snyder may have just confirmed that his version of the Justice League would not debut on HBO Max as a four-part series, but as a long film.
Zack Snyder confirmed that his Justice League cut would not be released as a four-part series, despite what was previously announced on DC FanDome in August 2020.
Snyder was asked by user Vero @bcthebeast if Zack Snyder’s Justice League it would be “a series or a single shot.” The director replied, “one shot”, confirming that Justice League it would not be released as a four-part series, but a four-hour film.
Snyder announced at DC FanDome in August 2020 that HBO Max would split the launch of its Justice League cut into four one-hour episodes; a single four-hour cut of the episodes would be released later, exclusively on HBO Max. Now, it seems that is not the case.
At the time of writing, there is no firm release date for Zack Snyder’s Justice League, but Snyder was reportedly putting pressure on Warner Bros. for a theatrical release in 2021. A recent teaser trailer for HBO Max’s 2021 releases gave a glimpse of films scheduled to premiere simultaneously in theaters and on the streaming service this year – Zack Snyder’s Justice League it was not on that list of films.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent , Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and JK Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
