The next film stars Dave Bautista and set in the midst of a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, where a group of mercenaries venture out to carry out a risky assault.
Omari Hardwick, Westworld actor Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighöfer, Samantha Win and Rich Cetrone will also star.
Army of the Dead was announced in 2019, marking Snyder’s first film since he left 2017 Justice League to deal with a family tragedy. Snyder directs the script he wrote with Joby Harold and Shay Hatten. He is also producing, along with Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller, from Stone Quarry.
The release date for Army of the Dead comes amid the early release of the Snyder version, the director’s version of Justice League set to debut on HBO max.
Army of the Dead will premiere on Netflix on May 21st.
