With the 2021 NFL Draft in less than 65 days, what better time for another 2021 NFL Draft Mock? With negotiations enabled, some teams make their move to a quarterback of the future in this class of gunmen. Who does your favorite team land in this simulated two-round draft? Find out here as we dive in.
1. Jacksonville Jaguars selects Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
Engrave it in stone. Write in Sharpie. Do what you have to do, but Trevor Lawrence is the well-defined QB1 in this draft and the franchise guy Jacksonville is looking for. Lawrence is a transcendent player and can take this franchise to the top. His elite size, athleticism and talent in his arm make him one of the most praised QB candidates in years. He tore up defenses for three years at Clemson and will remain so in the NFL.
2. New York Jets selects Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
The jets get your high-potential guy at two here. Zach Wilson has been talking a lot this year because of his polarization season at BYU. He is electric with the ball in his hands and makes plays in the style of Mahomes when he changes his arm angle in the run. He has the lowest floor in the top four and I am concerned about his ability to play under pressure, as his footwork left him sometimes. There are rumors that Wilson is Joe Douglas’s guy, which is why I have Wilson here at two.
