“After review, and in light of concerns about the continuing potential for violence, we removed the new content uploaded to Donald J. Trump’s channel for violating our policies. He now has his first strike and is temporarily prevented from uploading new content by * minimum * 7 days, “YouTube said in a statement on Twitter.

“Given ongoing concerns about violence, we will also disable comments on President Trump’s channel indefinitely, as we did with other channels where there are security concerns found in the comments section.”

The decision comes days after Twitter banned Trump from his platform completely, an impressive move that drew the ire of conservatives in the United States, as well as criticism from around the world.

YouTube did not specify the nature of the content that prompted Tuesday’s action. According to CNN Business, it was a video that promoted violence.
