The Streamer Valkyrae brings the possibility of shutting down the popular OfflineTV server for Rust after grieving problems.
While Twitch can have some healthy moments, like viewers seeing Pikachulita being proposed to live in your stream, the popular streaming platform can also be a hot bed for drama and controversy. With a hobby as massive as playing, there will certainly be problems when some of Twitch’s most popular influencers get together.
This recent controversy involves Rust, a predominant survival game and its server hosted by OfflineTV, a dedicated group of content creators that focuses on match videos and vlogs, as well as game content. This particular server is often used by streamers to display its content, where it was recently the source of drama following the induction of xQc, a popular streamer that the Shroud predicted would cause the server to implode.
Valkyrae, who hosts the server, suggested that she may have to shut down the server after a recent conflict involving xQc and lesser-known streamer, Ash_on_lol. During a training session Rust, xQc harassed Ash for not being as useful as he expected, which made Ash attack him and demand that he be kinder to her. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter, Ash received death threats from some xQc fans with some even suggesting that she kill herself. Since then, xQc has apologized for the incident, but the damage may have gone a long way if Valkyrae decides to shut down the server in response to his actions.

Shroud has another solution with him, suggesting that xQc is simply banned from the server, but whether or not Valkyrae plans is on the air. Valkyrae apologized to her friends who didn’t have fun playing on the server, although she mentioned that she was enjoying the heat and chaos of the server, although negativity was the real heart of the matter.
The Shroud is not the only streamer who openly released xQc and its label. Dr. Disrespect also criticized the Quebec streamer for playing the cartoon tower defense game Bloons.
It is currently up and running whether or not Valkyrae will restart or shut down the server, although it is possible that she will end up creating specific security zones on the server for players looking for less dramatic gameplay. Rust it is currently one of the most viewed games on Twitch, so dropping the server completely could certainly hurt the streamers that depend on it for their streams.
