GreedFall’s next Steelrising project, Spiders, has an Alpha Test that you can sign up for before starting this spring.
The official Steam page takes you to the playtest registration form, which you will need to complete if you want to be able to participate. The blog post mentions that places are “limited”, so if you’re interested in seeing how the game works, you’ll want to get started as soon as possible.
The online test is scheduled to take place on Steam in early March for 7 to 10 days. The form states that, if you are chosen, you must sign an NDA and be contacted by email. Therefore, if you are chosen from among the people who sign up, you will have to be careful not to say anything about it online or on social networks, as it seems that the experiences cannot yet be communicated to the masses.
The official description describes Steelrising as such:
“King Louis XVI’s automaton army is terrorizing the citizens of Paris. Join the Revolution as Aegis, fight this kingdom of terror and try to change the course of history!”
There are still few additional details about the game’s official release date or what else it will offer. However, it was first announced in July 2020, during the Nacon Showcase. We know that you will assume the role of an automaton called Aegis, who happens to be also the bodyguard of Queen Marie Antoinette. These details certainly make it look like an intriguing adventure.
