  • The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T will be released globally on January 8.
  • The phone is probably a renamed version of China’s Redmi Note 9 5G.
  • Its EU specifications and prices were leaked thanks to an early listing by Amazon.

If we were to explain Xiaomi’s latest rebranding efforts in different markets, we would end up giving you a headache. So instead, let’s leave the fact that the phone maker is going to launch a new smartphone Redmi globally on January 8. He is calling it the Redmi Note 9T – a 5G phone aimed at budget-conscious buyers.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T launch teaser on Twitter

Xiaomi has not officially released any information, but Amazon Germany has rushed to reveal the phone specifications and prices, confirming that it is essentially the Redmi Note 9 5G that launched in China in November.

The initial list shows that the Redmi Note 9T will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset, a 6.53-inch FHD + perforated screen, a 48 MP main camera, a 5,000 mAh battery with 18 W of charge, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB / 128 GB of storage.

As far as prices are concerned, Amazon listed the basic Redmi Note 9T variant at € 229.90 (~ $ 282). Meanwhile, its 128 GB storage version was priced at € 269.90 (~ $ 330). These listings have been removed from the site.

However, if these prices are accurate, the Redmi Note 9T will be one of the cheapest 5G phones in Europe, going against the tastes of Realme 7 5G. Rescheduled or not, its specs look pretty solid on paper, so it must be a popular device when it comes out.
