Xiaomi announces Mi 10i made in India

Xiaomi has announced the Mi 10i, a new series 10 phone aimed at the Indian market and manufactured in the country – that’s what the “i” means, apparently. That said, it is essentially a region-specific version with a brand new Mi 10T Lite 5G, which is basically the same thing as the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.

The phone has a 6.67-inch 120 Hz 20: 9 1080p LCD, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor with an integrated 5G X52 modem and up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The battery has 4,820mAh, and Xiaomi says it should fully charge in 58 minutes at 33W. There is also a headset, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster.

The main camera uses Samsung’s 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM2 sensor, compatible with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors. The selfie camera has 16 megapixels and is located in what Xiaomi says is the smallest hole cutout in its class.

The Mi 10i will go on sale on January 7 in India at a price of Rs. 20,999 (~ $ 290) for a model with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The Rs. The 21,999 ($ 300) model doubles storage to 128 GB and there is another variant of 8 GB / 128 GB at Rs. 23,999 ($ 330). At that price, it could be a strong competitor for names like OnePlus Nord.
