Xbox Series X / S refueling updates: available now at Best Buy [Update: Series X sold out]

Updated March 5, 2021, at 12:58 pm ET: The Xbox Series X is already sold out at Best Buy. But the Series It’s still available.

Best Buy randomly replenished supplies for two recently released Microsoft next-generation consoles: the Xbox Series X and Series S. Like some other gaming gadgets released last year, these consoles are extremely difficult to buy, but if you act quickly, you can get one now.

If you are looking for a PS5, Best Buy has stock available for the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition now.

Xbox Series X / S

Prices measured at time of publication.

The Xbox Series X is Microsoft’s flagship console, serving as its most powerful (and largest) option that costs $ 499.99. While the $ 299.99 S Series aims for smooth 1440p performance, the X Series focuses on fast 4K gameplay.

If you’re new to the Xbox console family, Costco is also selling a Series S console package with an extra controller for $ 340.

If you protect any of the consoles and wonder what to buy next, you might want to think about which games to add to your library. But if you’re not sure what to buy, I suggest buying an Xbox Game Pass console or Game Pass Ultimate subscription. I suggest the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as it includes additional benefits, especially an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (three month subscription)

Prices measured at time of publication.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is a subscription that combines the Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold in one package. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have access to Microsoft’s xCloud cloud gaming service, which is only compatible with Android devices.

I also advise you to buy an extra controller if you are playing with a local co-op with a friend or relative. When it comes to additional storage, the two consoles are quite limited: 512 GB in the S Series, 1 TB in the X Series. You can buy an SSD expansion card that comes in just 1 TB and is very expensive, costing $ 220.

If you plan to download some older games, but want to save your limited SSD, you can get an external hard drive.
