Throughout December, the Xbox Series X and Series S were restocked at most major retailers. Refueling at retailers like GameStop, Walmart, Best Buy and Microsoft has been sporadic and unpredictable – well, except that consoles always sell out quickly. Since the launch of the new Microsoft consoles in November, it has been incredibly difficult to find inventory at list prices. Both the X Series and the S Series are currently sold out at all major retailers. With the new year approaching, we will have to wait and see if consoles become easier to find.
If any retailer announces refueling times for the Xbox Series X or S in the coming weeks, we’ll include those details here. In the meantime, here’s what we know about the availability of the Xbox Series X on GameStop, Walmart, Best Buy and more. The most recent refills estimate shipments well after the holiday. Remember this, because unless you are offered a pickup at the store, it will probably not be delivered in time for Christmas. In fact, it may take a few weeks to start the year before you have the system in your hands.

Xbox Series X availability on GameStop
We don’t know when you’ll be able to buy an Xbox Series X from GameStop again. The recent restocking at GameStop focused mainly on packages for the X Series and the S Series, although some independent consoles were available.
Xbox Series X availability at Best Buy
We don’t know when you’ll be able to buy an Xbox Series X from Best Buy again.
Best Buy confirmed that it will not have Xbox Series X or Series S units in physical stores until 2021, and the store told GameSpot that the Xbox Series X / S will be available for purchase on BestBuy.com whenever units are available. We saw next-generation consoles appearing on the Best Buy website without much notice. The most recent of them appeared on December 21.
Availability of Xbox Series X at Walmart
We don’t know when you’ll be able to buy an Xbox Series X from Walmart again. Walmart’s most recent refills happened a week before Christmas and were handled better than previous refills at the retailer. Walmart set a set time, as usual, but this time the retailer staggered sales in a wider window, which seemed to make the site more relaxed.

We don’t know when you’ll be able to buy an Xbox Series X from Amazon again.
Amazon had very little stock of the Xbox Series X | S since the launch of the consoles on November 10, and there is no news of a refueling in the near future. Amazon’s listings even say, “We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.”
Xbox Series X target availability
We don’t know when you’ll be able to buy an Xbox Series X from Target again. Target had consoles in stock during Black Friday, but the retailer was silent throughout December.
Xbox Series X availability at other retailers
Newegg Electronics Store said on Twitter who expects to get more inventory for the Xbox Series X in December, but no specific replenishment dates have been provided. Newegg usually announces the refueling of the Xbox – sometimes just 10 minutes early – so following it on Twitter is a good way to get notified.
We saw sporadic refills at the Microsoft Store, but they are never announced in advance. The last refueling of the Xbox from the Microsoft store itself was on December 8.
If you lose inventory at major retailers, dealer websites like StockX have many units available, although you are prepared to pay more than the list price. Buyers are currently asking for around $ 380 for the S Series and $ 620 for the X Series. If you buy from a reseller, make sure that the Xbox console you are buying has the right type of plug for your region.

The great advantage of Xbox Series X accessories is that the vast majority of Xbox One compatible products also work with Series X and S, including headphones and controllers.
New Xbox Wireless controllers launched alongside the Xbox Series X and Series S, and are available in Carbon Black, Robot White and Shock Blue. They feature a more ergonomic design; textured grips on the bumpers, triggers and rear box; and a hybrid D-pad inspired by the Elite controller for greater accuracy. The updated controllers also have a new integrated Share button to capture and record game moments.

Microsoft is promoting its Xbox Game Pass subscription to the next generation, which grants access to a huge rotating game library for a monthly fee, including the ability to play original games like Halo Infinite on the first day. New subscribers can sign up for the first month of Game Pass Ultimate for $ 1 – do so before taking advantage of Game Pass online offers. You will also have an extra Game Pass Ultimate month for free if you activate recurring billing (it must be disabled before you can redeem a code to get the notice).
