Xbox Series X inventory updates: Best Buy, Target, Walmart, GameStop and more retailers

Even if the Xbox Series X and the S Series launched last fall, the demand for The newest game consoles from Microsoft is still outpacing the offer. In fact, many players have been waiting for months to get their hands on these consoles. It seems that the only way for someone to get one is by logging in at the exact moment when there is a new stock drop at major retailers like Target, Best Buy, GameStop or Microsoft Store. And even if you realize that a refueling is coming, there is still no guarantee of success. The whole routine is starting to feel like Groundhog Day. You find out about an Xbox Series X refueling, click madly, wait in line – only to come across an extremely frustrating “exhausted” message.

But there are ways to increase your chances of stealing an Xbox Series X. First, don’t wait until you hear an update on Xbox refueling. We recommend that you check the store’s inventory links yourself, daily or even several times a day. (We have them all lined up below.) If you have any Xbox availability, it’s time to go all in. Use as many browsers and devices as you can. On a desktop, for example, you can open the store page in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Then, you can do the same on your phone and tablet. It’s like with lottery ticket: The more you have, the better your chances of winning.

Twitter remains a useful resource for many players who check for replenishment news, but even when the leads are reliable, there is rarely more than a few minutes of notice and the stock runs out in minutes. Even so, better times are ahead – but not this week.

A tip: look for the $ 500 retail price and avoid those expensive retail packages, which include strange controllers, accessories and games. Better yet, if you don’t have one 4K TV and don’t expect to get one so soon, get the Xbox Series S instead, save $ 200.

Currently, there is no stock available anywhere, but we are keeping an eye on Twitter and other news sources, and we will keep you updated on what retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, GameStop and Target are planning. The following is a list of the main retailers that sell the Xbox Series X.

Xbox Series X: Check stock replenishment

Best Buy was the last reseller on pre-order days, but is now ready to purchase the Xbox Series X as inventory permits.

Amazon is selling the Xbox Series X and the cheapest S Series on this same product page.

GameStop had praised a “very limited number of Xbox Series X and S console packages for purchase”, but these are sold out.

Walmart does a solid job of looking at the availability windows for PS5 and Xbox on its Twitter feed. You can also visit the retailer’s Xbox home page for the two new consoles.

If you want to get the latest news on the Xbox Series X, there is probably no better place than Microsoft’s own Xbox Series X homepage. Here you will find the latest specs, announced game titles, details about the new controller and more.

This is the Target product page for the Xbox Series X.

This is where you can buy the Xbox Series X at Newegg when the retailer has stock.

Are you already getting desperate? Are you willing to pay a premium of hundreds of dollars on the list price? Listen, we wouldn’t do that and we don’t recommend that you do it, either. But if you want to go that route, StockX is a respectable eBay-style site that allows you to buy and sell new Xbox and PS5 models – as long as you’re willing to pay more than $ 650.

To be clear, it is highly recommended to wait for inventory to appear at regular retailers, so that you can buy an Xbox Series X at the regular retail price. But if you decided that you just can’t wait another moment, the average price for the Xbox Series X on eBay is around $ 800.
