Xbox marketing chief says “Nothing soon” at game advertising events

Xbox marketing chief Aaron Greenberg said “there will be nothing soon” regarding Xbox events that “feature game announcements or world premieres”. Greenberg made comments on Twitter while rejecting reports that said a new Elden Ring trailer – the long-awaited collaboration between From Software and George RR Martin – would be presented during a Microsoft event on March 23.

Fans have been clamoring for more information from Elden Ring to follow the tantalizing clip shown during E3 2019. “Just to set expectations: this is not happening,” said Greenberg, before continuing to explain that although “there are always things we are in for. underway, “there are no events soon that feature ‘world premieres’ or ads of games of similar caliber.

This suggests that we will not see a ‘big’ Microsoft reveal event for some time. Microsoft reporter Paul Thurrott had previously claimed that an Xbox event would be held on March 23.

Rumors about Elden Ring have also recently surfaced, with Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier recently tweeting “there is strong evidence that the game will be shown soon.” GamesBeat’s Jeff Grubb also said in a recent podcast that we could see more of the game by the end of March.

In other Elden Ring news, here is an article covering the game’s wild subreddit, which has dealt with the lack of information in several interesting ways. Xbox boss Phil Spencer said in November 2020 that he had “played a lot” in the game, calling it Miyazaki’s “most ambitious” project.
