Xbox Insider causes two “big” unannounced Xbox Series X games

A prominent Xbox source said that Xbox Game Studios does not have one, but two “big” unannounced games scheduled for release this year. Unfortunately, this is where the details of these two mystery games end, at least the details of the salient variety. As for the report, it comes in the manner of Jez Corden of Window Central, who, during a recent episode of the Xbox Two podcast, claimed that Xbox Game Studios has “at least” two “big games” scheduled for release this year that don’t was announced.

Xbox Game Studios currently has both Halo Infinite and Psychonauts 2 launching this year. The former is scheduled to launch sometime this holiday season, while the latter still has a wider “2021” launch window. In addition, it has several games with “TBA” release dates, such as Age of Empires IV, As Dusk Falls, Everwild, Fable 4, Hellblade 2, Forza Motorsport 8, Perfect Dark, Project Mara, State of Decay 3, and several Bethesda games. Sure, some of them could squeeze in this year, but these are announced games and therefore do not fit the bill.

Again, Corden doesn’t even suggest what these games might be, but it is quite possible that one is a new one. Forza Horizon, that there are rumors for this year. Meanwhile, the other game can be Wolfenstein III, which we know is in development, but has not yet been announced, but should be nearing completion.

While these are two assumptions, it is unclear what else the two games could be, especially since Corden identifies them as “big games”. Of course, “big” is subjective, but there is no reason to think that Corden is stretching the term. The fact is that large games are rarely announced and released in the same year. However, not only Forza they do this all the time, but Bethesda is one of the few to take this approach, occasionally lending weight to the above speculation.

For now, consider everything here with a grain of salt, as it ranges from unofficial to totally speculative. Although Corden is usually quite reliable, everything here is very vague and, of course, subject to change.
