Xbox Game Pass will be missing a beloved RPG soon

It was a solid month for the Xbox Game Pass as a whole. After receiving new titles in What’s left of Edith Finch, Torchlight III, and Injustice 2 to name a few, the service will now be missing out on a few games in early February. One of these games, in particular, can be a blow to those who love the RPG genre.

The new list of games that came out of the Xbox Game Pass in early February has already been revealed. In total, five titles will come out of the subscription service in the coming weeks, one of which is Final Fantasy XV. Previously, Square Enix’s most recent numbered entry in the long RPG series was available in both console and PC versions of the Xbox Game Pass, but that will finally come to an end.

If you’re a fan of Final Fantasy and are upset to hear about this development, well, it’s not all bad. Xbox has already announced that it plans to bring more Final Fantasy games to Game Pass throughout 2021. For now, we don’t know exactly when these other installments of the series will arrive, but we should start hearing more soon.

As for the other four games that will leave the Xbox Game Pass soon, it is a line that presents a certain diversity with regard to the type of genre. Indivisible, Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour, and Sea salt are leaving the Game Pass for PC and console next Final Fantasy XV. Finally, Devolver Digital’s Gris it will be the final game joining this board on the way out the door. Unlike all the other games mentioned here, Gris was only available for the Game Pass PC segment.

Fortunately, if you are sad to hear that these games are coming to an end, you still have time to play each one. These changes will not take effect permanently until two weeks from today, February 1, 2021. Therefore, if you want to try any of these games before then, it is best to start immediately.

As for the future of the Xbox Game Pass, we should start to hear more about the titles that will be launched on the service in February soon. Until then, you can follow all our ongoing coverage related to the platform right here.
