Xbox Game Pass February entries and exits include Dirt 5, Oxenfree

Microsoft announced which games are coming in and out of the Xbox Game Pass in February. It’s a decent selection, including the still-smelling new racing game Dirt 5, the old Wreckfest hills and the exact type of game Game Pass is best for, the Code Vein of anime souls.

Dirt 5 will join Microsoft’s game subscription service on February 25. It is only a few months old, having been released in November 2020, which means it is newer than many of the great games that come to the platform. It’s new enough that I wonder if some people who bought it might be a little sore now that they know they can play it for the cost of a month-long subscription.

Wreckfest is an older game, having ended its long journey of early access in 2018, but has continued to be updated and is still a lot of fun. It is a racing game focused on beautiful collisions, in which both tracks and cars are deformed in the course of a race. He is entering service on February 18.

Meanwhile, Code Vein seems like the perfect Game Pass game, and it also arrives on February 18th. Matt liked his analysis, despite himself, but it looks like he is completely in 7/10 territory. The type of game you might like, if you like third-person hand-to-hand combat with a resistance bar, but possibly not the type of mandatory game you bought when you left.

As always, a handful of games are leaving the service, including our beloved Oxenfree, but here is the full list of things that come and go:
