Xbox Boss causes big year for Game Pass in 2021

Xbox boss Phil Spencer discusses the Xbox Game Pass subscription service, suggesting big news to come in 2021.

Microsoft made it clear that its strategy of moving to the next generation of games is to focus primarily on its Xbox Game Pass service. The Xbox Game Pass, for the uninitiated, gives subscribers instant access to more than 100 games on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X, not to mention many other bonuses. And it looks like Microsoft will continue to focus on the Xbox Game Pass in 2021, with Xbox boss Phil Spencer, doing big things for the service in the new year.

Speaking to Major Nelson, Spencer spoke about the success of the Xbox Game Pass service. He also joked that 2021 “is going to be an amazing year” for the Xbox Game Pass. Spencer said that 2021 will be great for the Xbox Game Pass due to the game line, in addition to reaching more people. This is probably a reference to the fact that the Xbox Game Pass will arrive on iOS devices in the spring of 2021, which will open the service to a large number of potential new subscribers.

As for what games Spencer could be referring to, they could be anything. The Xbox Game Pass added some important new titles in 2020 and in 2021 it should be no different. Of course, this will include original Xbox games and exclusive Xbox console titles, which will debut on the Xbox Game Pass the first day.

the medium

The first major Xbox game that will hit the Game Pass in 2021 is The medium. A horror game of Layers of fear Bloober studio team, The medium will be available on the Xbox Game Pass as soon as it launches on January 28. An exclusive Xbox Series X console, The medium is one of the first console-exclusive games to be released for Microsoft’s next generation console. Many other exclusive Xbox console games are planned for 2021 as well, including Halo Infinite in the fall.

In the meantime, Microsoft will undoubtedly be looking to reinforce the Xbox Game Pass line with third-party titles and multiplatform releases. In fact, there are rumors that the Ubisoft + line may be coming to the Xbox Game Pass, which would be a big boost for the service. Whether this will happen or not is not yet known, but the rumor has been corroborated by trusted industry experts.

Along with all these games and other bonuses, Microsoft probably has some big Xbox Game Pass surprises up its sleeve for 2021 as well. Hopefully, Xbox fans will learn more about the company’s Game Pass plans sooner rather than later.
