Of these, all, except Morrowind, Oblivion, TES Online and Fallout: New Vegas, will be available through the cloud game for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.
In an Xbox Wire blog post, Xbox also said that “a handful” of them would end up benefiting from FPS Boost on the Xbox Series X | S, saying he would have more to share soon.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer also made a firm and specific statement about the future of Bethesda’s existing games and franchises on other platforms – something that has been a concern for many who play Bethesda titles on PlayStation or elsewhere and that he addressed similar, if not so specific, statements in the past.“Obviously, I can’t sit here and say that every Bethesda game is unique,” said Spencer. “Because we know that it is not true. There are contractual obligations that we will fulfill, as we always do in each of these instances. We have games that exist on other platforms and we will support these games on the platforms they are on. There are communities of players, we love these communities and we will continue to invest in them. And, even in the future, there may be things that have contractual or legacy things on different platforms that we will go, do.
“But if you’re an Xbox customer, I want you to know that it’s about delivering great exclusive games for you that come on platforms where the Game Pass exists. That’s our goal, that’s why we’re doing it, it’s the the root of this partnership we’re building and the creative capacity that we’ll be able to bring to the market for Xbox customers will be the best it has ever been for Xbox after we’re done here. ”
