WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley has said it wants to be part of next year’s Royal Rumble match. The WWE legend said he was trying to get back into shape after his recent health problem.
D-Von Dudley, on his Table Talk podcast, talked about wanting to get in the ring again, and wants to participate in his first WWE Royal Rumble fight.
“Listen, I’m not publicizing it, I’m not saying I’m going to be at the Royal Rumble … What I’m saying is that I would love to be at the Royal Rumble next year. It still works out for me, I would love to have the opportunity to do that. But, I I have to be straight. My body has to be good and ready to go. I’ll be honest with you, I think I’ll be okay. I’m going to declare myself saying I’m going to try to prepare for the Royal Rumble and I hope Mr. McMahon will choose be in it. But if not, then I can’t do that. “
He then narrated how fans shouted for him to be at Rumble when his tag team partner Bubba Ray Dudley was at the WWE Royal Rumble Match in 2015. D-Von had Matt Hardy as his guest on the show, which sparked a potential six-man tag team match too.
D-Von Dudley on returning to the WWE ring
D-Von Dudley recently revealed that he had a stroke, but said on the podcast that he is feeling better and is working to get back in the ring.
“I’m thinking about getting out of retirement now. I’m willing to go back to the ring and do it again. I didn’t think I would, but I think I am. I think after going through what I went through and now, back on the road to recovery, doing the what I’m doing, like, I’m just trying to be strong, my coaches trying to put me back where I need to be, losing all sorts of weight – I think ‘I’ll be ready.’
D-Von Dudley’s last fight in the WWE was in 2016, when he joined Bubba Ray Dudley to face Neville and Sami Zayn.
