No Holds Barred Match: Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre
We went back to the ring and first came Drew McIntyre with a pop. Drew is wearing the blue and white war paint of his ancestors. Drew arrives at the ring and poses while more pyrotechnics go off. The fans sing “Drew!” while he waits for the opponent. The music beats and Sheamus leaves afterwards, while Mike Rome makes the introductions.
The doorbell rings and they find themselves in the middle of the ring with Sheamus talking bullshit. He drew the blows first and they go ahead. Sheamus with a high knee, but Drew throws him over the head, and another shot through the corner ring. He unrolled Sheamus with poles over the rope to the floor. Sheamus takes Drew’s leg off the apron to knock him down. Sheamus works Drew and launches him against the barrier.
Designed counters on the floor with a large belly-to-belly overhead next to the ring. He drew with a big blow against the advertisers’ table and a right hand. He drew Sheamus to the ring post. Drew dismantles the announcement board now. He tries to use the top of the table, but drops it, then goes under the ring and throws a bunch of kendo sticks into the ring. Sheamus knocks him down as soon as he throws them. Sheamus throws Drew face-first at the ring post now. Sheamus swings a kendo stick, but Drew bends down and hits the post. He drew with another big shot on the side of the ring. Drew launches Sheamus onto the steps of the steel ring.
He drew with a big blow on the top of the steel. Drew keeps control and brings him back. Drew follows with a kendo stick, but Sheamus hits Drew and the gun with a huge kick. Drew kicks out at 2. Sheamus picks up another stick and unloads it at Drew while he is down. Sheamus talks a little rubbish while hitting Drew with the kendo stick. Sheamus shot himself in the chest to put Drew back on the floor. Sheamus grinds the kendo stick in Drew’s mouth now, pulling it back. Drew wrestles with one Glasgow Kiss header and another. Drew knocks Sheamus down with a big boot.
Drew swings a stick while Sheamus attacks. Drew defeats him and continues to swing the bat while fans cheer for him. Drew with a side Russian leg sweep with the stick. Drew now sticks the tip of the stick into the eye socket of Sheamus. He took another big shot in the back to send Sheamus to the ground. Drew strikes with the bat next to the ring, but Sheamus lets him fall flat on his face at the bottom of the steel ring steps. Sheamus grabs the top half of the steps and attacks, hitting Drew on the head to put him back on the floor. Sheamus screams in boos.
Sheamus leaves the announcement table now. Sheamus throws Drew to the table. Sheamus takes Drew by the shoulders, but Drew struggles to escape. Drew goes to a DDT Futureshock, but Sheamus resists. Drew throws Sheamus off the table, on the barrier and in the timekeeper’s area. Drew follows and maintains control as they fight the virtual crowd now. Drew lets Sheamus fall on a rail and pushes him back down. The fight continues. Sheamus blocks a suplex on the concrete, then throws Drew back on the concrete with a suplex of his own. We see lacerations in Sheamus and Drew. Drew is on the floor with shortness of breath now. They fight on top of a production box now, right up to the second tier of LED rows. Sheamus knocks. Down another level now.
Drew fights back on the platform. Sheamus picks up Drew and hits the rolling senton on the platform. Drew wrestles, but Sheamus defeats him. Sheamus takes Drew by the shoulders again. Sheamus tries a senton over the LED screens, but Drew blocks it. Drew keeps fighting and launches Sheamus through several LED screens, making them shine and explode a little. Drew gets up and screams as the fans start shouting his name.
Drew keeps hitting Sheamus around the row of LED screens, kicking him up a ramp back to ground level. Drew puts Sheamus on a production cart on wheels now. Drew rolls the case to the ring area. He designed with a suplex to bring Sheamus from the box to the floor. Drew puts Sheamus on his shoulders, taking him back to the ring. Sheamus grabbed his eyes and loosened himself beside the advertisers’ table. Sheamus kicks Drew over the barrier with a Kick Brogue.
Sheamus crosses the barrier and works Drew while he is down. Sheamus catches Drew on a platform that is level with the top of the barrier. Sheamus complains and points to the WrestleMania 37 sign, about how he should be at the main event. Sheamus takes Drew and places him on the advertisers’ table with a huge white noise on the other side of the barrier. The fans sing “this is amazing!” when Sheamus gets up first, bleeding from the back.
Sheamus struggles to bring Drew back to the ring. The “this is incredible!” chants continue. Sheamus steps on Drew and rolls him back into the ring. Sheamus grabs the side of the advertisers table and slides it into the ring. He taunts Drew while he’s down, then starts hitting him with punches and kicks. Drew struggles on his knees. Sheamus goes to the Alabama Slam on the table. Drew retaliates and hits a Futureshock DDT on the table piece. Drew comes back with a Claymore kick for the pin to win.
