WWE Fastlane Results: Fiend returns to help Alexa Bliss win over Randy Orton

Randy Orton set fire to The Fiend in the last PPV of 2020. After months of being tormented by Bray Wyatt’s friend Alexa Bliss, when the WWE booked Orton and Bliss in a fight in the last previous PPV WrestleMania 37, many of us expected Wyatt to return.

And they were not disappointed with Fastlane on March 21st.

It all started with what has been a staple of this program … Randy spewing black goo.

Shortly after Bliss entered, the voodoo continued. Alexa conjured a wall of fire to prevent Viper from carrying it against the bell …

… and when he chased her around the ring, a light-producing device fell between them.

This was all a postponement tactic for the big reveal. After blowing a flashbang into Randy’s face, a strong hand broke the ring and grabbed his foot. The entire charred person of the Demon followed her, and a Sister Abigail later, Bliss rode on Orton for a pinfall victory.

There is probably not much here to change anyone’s opinion of the program, but at least we are on the way to its likely conclusion in ‘Mania.
