– The WWE Fastlane Kickoff pre-show starts at ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, with Kayla Braxton welcoming us. She joined Peter Rosenberg and WWE Hall of Famers Booker T and Jerry Lawler. They reveal that Mustafa Ali vs. United States WWE champion Riddle will air on Kickoff tonight. They play the rest of the card and Shane McMahon vs. Braun Strowman is once again being announced. Let’s watch a promotional video for Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre in a No Holds Barred match.

The panel goes with McIntyre to win tonight. Kayla sends us for a break. We come back and the panel talks about opening tonight for WWE women’s doubles titles. Back from another break, we received a video package from Randy Orton vs. Alexa Bliss. We received more hype for tonight, including a video about Apollo Crews vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E. Sonya Deville joins the panel and they discuss the match. Deville and Rosenberg go with Big E to retain, while Lawler and Booker choose Apollo. Let’s go to another break. The panel discusses Shane McMahon vs. Braun Strowman now. Kayla talks about how Shane suffered a leg injury while training before tonight’s pay-per-view, which we posted on the website. Sarah Schreiber is backstage now. She says Shane is being examined by doctors and there is no word yet on whether he will have medical clearance to fight tonight. We take a quick look at Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura. Kevin Patrick is backstage with Rollins now. Rollins brags about his “drop” and how popular he is on social media. He continues to be disrespected by Nakamura and is confident for tonight’s match. Rollins walks away and we go to another break.

WWE United States Title Match: Mustafa Ali vs. Riddle

We go to the ring when Tom Phillips welcomes us. He joined Samoa Joe and Byron Saxton. First comes the United States WWE champion, Riddle, as “Bro!” corners begin. Next comes RETRIBUTION – Mustafa Ali with T-BAR, Mace, Slapjack and Reckoning.

We see how Ali blamed RETRIBUTION for last week’s defeat and requested this rematch. The doorbell rings and they evaluate themselves with Ali going straight to the floor to stall. Ali comes back on the count of 5. They lock and Ali takes it to the corner. He retreats when the referee counts and they exchange some aggressive blows. Riddle drops Ali and brings his knees to his ribs. Enigma with a big gutwrench pitch and a Broton in the middle of the ring for a count of 2 while the rest of RETRIBUTION watches.

Riddle kicks Ali and goes for a hit, but Ali grabs the top rope and strikes back. Riddle kicks his leg and goes after a Broton, but Ali raises his knees. Riddle lands hard. Ali barks at RETRIBUTION to make sure they are watching how this is done. Ali maintains control and hits Riddle’s injured leg on the bottom rope, then kicks him in the ribs to throw him on the floor. Ali brings Riddle back for a count of 2. They get entangled and Ali knocks Riddle down with a big knee in the stomach. Riddle starts at 2 o’clock.

There Riddle landed with body scissors now. There with more shots in the neck. They get up, but Ali blocks Bro Derek. Ali ends up sending Riddle to the stretchers twice for another close count. There with a big right hand and a hit in the corner. Riddle fights, but Ali defeats him. Riddle loses a big right hand in the corner. Ali rolls out of his apron and hits a Backstabber for an approximate count of 2. Ali is frustrated now.

Ali hits Riddle with another pair of scissors while the crowd tries to compose himself. Riddle fights and ends up leaving Ali in a Sleeper. Ali fights and they get up with blows coming and going. Riddle with a skin kick to the face. Riddle with running attacks in the corner, then the big Exploder suplex in the corner. Riddle with a kick in the chest, then a big powerbomb, straight into the Final Flash for an approximate count of 2. Riddle goes to the top for a floating brother, but Ali raises his knees. Riddle lands with difficulty, but Ali takes time to make the cover.

Ali gets up first and jumps off the second tensioner, but Riddle catches him in the air. They exchange attempts and Riddle knocks Ali down with a big Fisherman’s Buster. Ali kicks off at 2. Ali goes straight to the Koji Clutch. Riddle reaches for the bottom rope, but Ali tightens it. Riddle calls and the grip is broken, dropping Ali head first. Ali smiles and attacks in the corner, but hits a boot. Riddle goes to the top, but Ali grabs him. There it sways and misses.

Riddle applies a Sleeper from the corner, lifting Ali off the floor and dropping him. Riddle lifts Ali out of the corner again and hits a super Bro Derek for the pin to retain.

Winner: Riddle

– After the match, Riddle holds on to the title as his music hits. We go to the replays while RETRIBUTION watches and the fans sing “Mano!” now. Riddle goes to the ramp while RETRIBUTION helps Ali to get up. He starts yelling at them and pushing them again, blaming them for the loss. Ali directs his anger towards Reckoning and orders her to return to the line, but she turns and stays with her favorite, looking him up and down. Reckoning leaves the ring while Ali orders her to return. She keeps walking and he says he doesn’t need her. Slapjack leaves next, while Ali yells at him. Ali blames Mace and T-BAR now. They grab it and deliver the High Justice double chokeslam in the middle of the ring. We have a repetition while Ali rolls on the carpet. T-BAR and Mace go back together.

– We have promotion and discussion for tonight’s WWE Universal Title match and that’s it for Kickoff.

– The 2021 WWE Fastlane pay-per-view opens with a video package. We are live from ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, as the pyro fires and fans applaud. We see the WrestleMania 37 logo loudly while Michael Cole welcomes us. He joined the ring by Corey Graves.

WWE women’s doubles title game: Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler

We go straight to the ring and Bianca Belair goes out for a pop first. SmackDown female champion Sasha Banks is next, after seeing recent events between opponents of WrestleMania 37 and Reginald. WWE women’s doubles champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler are next with Reginald.

Banks and Baszler begin to do this. Banks turns and lets Baszler fall to his knees in the corner. Belair signs up and goes to work at Baszler. Baszler retaliates before a quick 2 count. Belair deflects Baszler for another quick attempt to immobilize. They tangle and exchange more attempts. Belair tries to gain strength for a powerbomb, but Baszler breaks free and hits a stiff knee in the chin. Baszler is going to work on Belair’s hand and fingers now. Jax makes the mark and Baszler is not happy about it. Belair takes Jax to the corner and Banks enters. Banks slips off Jax’s shoulders and they curl up. Jax fights an attempted bank statement and levels the banks to an approximate count of 2.

Banks swings Jax and attacks, but Jax picks her up for a powerbomb. Belair marks and saves as Jax did not see. Belair with a low dropkick for Jax for a count of 1. Jax dominates and sends Belair into the corner, but misses a splash. Jax takes Belair out of his apron. Baszler scores and the tension continues with Jax. Baszler plays Belair on the edge of the apron while the referee counts. Baszler brings it back and rides Belair with rights and lefts to prevent her from scoring. Belair kicks out at 2. Baszler draws Belair now, while fans try to get together.

Jax re-enters and maintains control of Belair. Jax sends her to the corner and gives a big splash. Jax drops a big elbow for another 2 count. Baszler comes back and level Belair with a big knee running in the corner. Baszler maintains control and Jax returns to continue using Belair, arresting her again while Banks tries to compose himself. Belair fights both opponents now, expelling Baszler. Jax runs to the ring post. Banks scores, as does Baszler. Banks unloads and then hits a Meteora on Jax in the corner, then Baszler in the opposite corner. Banks avoids Jax’s powerbomb and sends it after leveling Baszler with his knees. Baszler kicks off at 2.

Belair scores and goes to the top after Banks overthrows Baszler. Belair hits a whopping 450 in Baszler, but Reginald provides a distraction. Banks jumps out of the apron, but Reginald jumps into the apron to avoid it. Belair takes Reginald out of his apron. Baszler with a Kirifuda Clutch for Belair from behind. She is free, but Banks enters without problems and they double the team Baszler. Banks with the presentation to Baszler, but Jax ends up entering. Belair finds her, but Jax knocks her down and knocks her down.

Banks and Belair argue now. Banks calls her a newbie and pushes her out. Baszler takes advantage and rolls Banks from behind for the pin to hold while Jax briefly holds Belair’s leg off the floor.

Winners: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler

– After the match, Jax and Baszler celebrate with the titles and go up the ramp with Reginald while the song begins. Let’s go to the replays. Banks and Belair continue to argue in the middle of the ring now. Banks pushes Belair with his finger to his forehead and throws her on the carpet. Fans boo Banks when she leaves the ring with the title in the air. Belair is shocked, but now she is starting to boil. Belair points to the WrestleMania 37 sign and tells herself it will be okay. Fans applaud her as Banks’ music hits. Banks looks from the stage while Belair continues to point at the sign.

– Back from a break and the announcers exaggerate at WrestleMania 37.

– Cole and Graves talk about how Shane McMahon suffered a leg injury during pre-show training for Braun Strowman. Shane hobbles out of the coach’s office, using a crutch. Elias and Jaxson Ryker approach him with a great idea for WrestleMania, which will make Bad Bunny give him his Grammy award out of respect. Shane doesn’t want to hear it now. Elias mentions doing or doing whatever is necessary. Shane changes his mind and says he has an idea for them while the camera goes back to the announcers.

– We received a video package for the next match.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Apollo Crews vs. Big E

We return to the ring and first comes Apollo Crews with his spear, while Greg Hamilton makes the introductions. WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E is next.

The bell rings and they immediately start fighting. Big E sends Crews to the apron and runs to deliver the big Spear. The two fall hard on the floor while the fans applaud. Big E comes in the face of Crews and yells at him while they are down. Crews fight back on the ground and they go back to the ring. Big E talks more rubbish while Crews is lying with half his body under the lower rope. Big E keeps stomping his feet and provoking Crews. Big E offers the big apron splash now.
