LINTHICUM, Md. (WJZ) – A written threat generated a large police presence at Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport on Monday night, officials said.
Southwest Airlines flight 2104 from Phoenix to Baltimore landed in BWI at about 5:15 pm, when police investigated what an airport spokesman called a “suspicious message”.
Specific details of the threat were not immediately available.

The plane had 101 passengers and crew members on board, the airport said.
“As a precaution, the aircraft was parked in a remote area of the airfield,” the airport said in a statement on Twitter. “Passengers were safely unloaded from the aircraft onto buses and taken to the airport terminal.”
Subsequently, the authorities considered the threat to be unreliable.
“Our crew followed the protocol by notifying the competent authorities and moving the aircraft to a remote location while waiting for further instructions. The authorities promptly arrived and boarded the aircraft, transferring the 97 passengers and six crew members to buses to be transferred to the terminal, ”said a Southwest spokesman.
