WrestleMania 37 match card, rumors

The next pay-per-view (PPV) on WWE programming is the only one WrestleMania 37 event scheduled to take place on two nights on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. This will be the first live fan show in an entire year.

We are two weeks from the start of the show and here’s what WWE has planned so far.

First night

  • Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew McIntyre (WWE Championship)

McIntyre lost his title to The Miz’s Money in the Bank thanks to a deal with Lashley. After Miz was knocked down by Bobby, McIntyre established himself as the next in line.

  • Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bianca Belair (SmackDown Women’s Championship)

Belair won the Royal Rumble and eventually decided to challenge Banks for his title in the blue mark. They flirted briefly with the two, perhaps winning the doubles titles, but once that happened, they focused more on a personal rivalry.

  • The New Day (c) vs. AJ Styles & Omos (Raw tag team championship)

That was kind of thrown together. It is worth mentioning because it is the first real match involving Omos.

They have been arguing for a while, with Miz claiming that he is the star and Bunny being a real star.

  • Braun Strowman vs Shane McMahon

It all started out as Strowman furious against the machine due to unfair treatment and became his desire to get back at McMahon for calling him stupid.

When Rollins returned from paternity leave, no one embraced his vision. Cesaro made a show of his disgust and that led to a feud.

Night two

  • Roman Reigns (c) vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan (universal championship)

Edge won the Royal Rumble to win his chance, and he is fulfilling his dream of taking back the title he never lost (he abandoned it when he had to retire a decade ago). Bryan made his way thanks to a decision by Adam Pearce after a few rounds of unfair treatment in Elimination chamber and Fastlane.

  • Asuka (c) against Rhea Ripley (Women’s Raw Championship)

At first it looked like it would be Asuka against Charlotte Flair, but the latter was diagnosed with COVID-19 and is absent from television while recovering. Instead, Ripley, who had vignettes in the air at his debut in the main squad, came up with a challenge.

  • Big E (c) vs. Apollo Crews (intercontinental championship)

Crews completely turned the heel, having placed E on the shelf for a brief period thanks to a few steps around his neck. Now, he will have one more chance for the title.

  • The Fiend vs. Randy Orton

Orton burned the guy to death and then he was resurrected and now they are going to fight for it.

  • Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

Zayn is promoting a conspiracy and Owens is the voice of reason. It’s professional wrestling, so there’s only one way to fix it – bringing in Logan Paul, of course.

These are all matches announced so far. Rey & Dominik Mysterio vs. The Dirty Dawgs for the SmackDown tag team titles seems likely, as is a combination of multiple teams for the female tag titles. Riddle vs. Sheamus may also be happening. It is unclear whether there will be a real battle for men and women yet again this year, but that would complete the card.
