Would Matt Canada choose the Dolphins over the Steelers?

With the news on Thursday that the Pittsburgh Steelers were not renewing offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner’s contract, attention now turns to who will be his replacement. We describe some potential substitutions with the top of the list being the current Pittsburgh defender, Matt Canada.

There is also news that Canada is on the Miami Dolphins’ radar to be its next offensive coordinator.

This means that Canada may have a decision to make between Steelers and Dolphins for its big promotion. If we connect the dots and look at it from that perspective, what would Canada do to choose Steelers over Dolphins?

I suppose, first of all, it would be tradition and loyalty. The Steelers brought Canada last season to coach the team’s quarterbacks, with the hope that he will inject their creative offensive philosophies into the University of Maryland’s Steelers attack.

But other than that, I don’t see where Steelers’ work is more attractive. Unless Canada is looking forward to the challenge of rebuilding at least two years with more questions than answers in the quarterback. The Dolphins have had a major turnaround this season and have their young quarterback in place and are well on their way to rebuilding.

But I want to pass the question on to you. If Canada can choose between the two jobs, which one do you think it will take? Let us know in the comments.
