Woody Johnson was on a plane returning to the United States, Christopher Johnson said on Thursday, after completing his position as ambassador to the United Kingdom under President Donald Trump. President Joe Biden was sworn in on Wednesday and government positions are changing.
Christopher Johnson, who served as the primary owner of the Jets in Woody’s absence, announced the change at the top of the structure on Thursday during the press conference to introduce new coach Robert Saleh. Christopher will become the vice president of the Jets and remain heavily involved in day-to-day operations, but Woody resumes ownership duties.
Woody Johnson bought the Jets in January 2000 for $ 635 million. He handed over control to Christopher in 2017 in conjunction with his political appointment, and Saleh’s hiring will be the last significant development made without Woody’s final word in decision-making.

Well, Woody Johnson, who was behind the Jets acquiring Brett Favre from the Green Bay Packers in 2008, is known to be in love with famous quarterbacks and there happens to be a disgruntled person who could hit the NFL business market: Houston’s Deshaun Watson Texans.
The Jets’ quarterback Sam Darnold was drafted while Woody was abroad.
Woody Johnson was accused of making racist and sexist comments during his embassy, but he denied those charges. Christopher, while in charge of the Jets, reiterated his brother’s denials.
