Woman buys an Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max and gets an apple-flavored yogurt drink

Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro Max can be considered the high-level iPhone of 2020. It is certainly the Holy Grail for many Apple enthusiasts around the world. It is not a cheap device, as you can imagine. The device is at the top of the Apple iPhone 12 family, but it also tries to bring the best experience as a true flagship. The device, like other flagships, can be considered a luxury product in these difficult pandemic times. For this reason, when spending money on more expensive smartphones, we need to be very careful and be aware of scams over the web. Imagine spending your precious and hard-earned money to buy the desired device and when it arrives at your home it is nothing but a big hit. This is exactly what happened to a woman in China. The worst thing is that she bought the device through a “truly official” channel.

According to a Weibo port, a woman paid a fair amount for an iPhone 12 Pro Max, but received some sort of apple-flavored yogurt drink in her mail. She explained that she spent more than $ 1,500 to buy the new iPhone. However, the biggest and most surprising fact is that she placed the order on Apple’s official website and not through a third-party reseller. She was shocked to find that her iPhone 12 Pro Max was replaced by the drink. Putting on an apple-flavored drink was certainly a scammer’s joke.

She didn’t get her iPhone 12 Pro Max, but she did get an apple-flavored yogurt drink

The woman called Liu, said the package was not delivered directly to her door. She opted for the delivery to arrive at the package locker where she lived. Apple and Express Mail Service, the official carrier, claim that the iPhone 12 Pro Max was delivered to that location. However, Liu exclaims that he never received the iPhone and was instead given an apple-flavored yogurt drink. Although no one knows when the theft occurred, the case was filed with the local police.

Apple and the local courier company are investing in the case

According to a report by the Global Times, the Express Mail Service also hired dedicated people to investigate the matter. The investigation is still ongoing and Apple also shared a similar response to the Global Times investigation. The company says the iPhone 12 Pro Max case will be solved soon.

As we said before, Apple devices, above all other flagships, are classified as premium. Its value takes a while to decrease, so it is a good item for resale. There have been many cases where Apple devices have been stolen. Now, the case of apple-flavored yogurt is just another case on the list. Hopefully, the situation will be resolved soon and Liu will receive the desired smartphone.
