Wolverine, X-Men and Sharon Carter stories explained

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier it will almost certainly establish ties with the X-Men characters, but it will also bring a lot of Captain America drama after Steve Rogers. A new trailer for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier crashed during the Super Bowl and it has Sam-Bucky’s supremacy written since the jump – as if it literally started with Sam jumping and Bucky being pissed … bring the couple’s advice. Throughout your brief look at what’s to come in the next Disney + series from Marvel Studios, there are plenty of Easter eggs, characters and comic links to take a closer look.

The entire opening sequence of the trailer is a reference to the famous Cap jumping from a plane without a parachute, which we saw from him in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and I can’t help asking Bucky’s question of “What’s our plan?” is a reference to Iron Man saying, “I have a plan. Attack. “Before jumping from a Quinjet in The Avengers. Then again, the Avengers love the theater.

The horizon we see is Madripoor, a place that Disney couldn’t use until it bought Fox and regained all rights to the X-Men movie. Madripoor is essentially a super corrupt city that literally exists on its own island in Southeast Asia. He protects his criminals from being extradited and has strong ties to mutant characters, especially Wolverine, who – in the comics – fought in Madripoor during World War II – interestingly, he allied himself with Cap there. Will it matter here? It might be. WandaVision seems to have a lot of X-Men nods, but all can be elusive, because we’re all looking forward to seeing Kevin Feige make his version of mutant stories.

The villain is Baron Zemo, he is wearing his full purple mask this time. I saw him put on that mask for the first time when the show was officially announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, but I don’t think it has made its way online yet – not legally anyway. He’s back to try to rid the world of superheroes after failing to do so in Civil war and he could end up in a Thunderbolts squad because he’s clearly inclined to the very current tactic of dividing people and with the X-Men on the horizon, the Avengers all over the place and everything else going on – he may be trying to hit a little own squad, if that takes us to the Red Hulk in the MCU, I’m here for that.

There has been speculation that his purple mask on the MCU may be inspired by Thanos, which is probably nothing more than a fun idea.

Zemo’s little minions are Flag-Smashers, they seem to be a reference to Marvel Comics’ Flag-Smasher character, also known as Mark Gruenwald. If they follow his comic example, the MCU Flag-Smashers will essentially be Captain America’s radicalized haters looking to create and incite chaos.

There is an interesting photo of a high-ranking military blues uniform, which could be Don Cheadle’s War Machine. Cheadle revealed that she is on this show in a recent interview and that her Rhodie is very decorated.

It may be a coincidence, but a huge Steve Rogers poster is on Sam’s left, making reference, well … you know. Sam seems to be mourning the shield that was given to him as if he had to give up, which probably means that they are covering up Steve’s choice to live in the alternative timeline and not just saying, “Well, he aged and he gave it for me.” The MCU thinks Steve Rogers is dead, and he may be behind the opening sequence in Spider-Man: away from home put it in the same memorial video as Black Widow and Iron Man.

Sam throws the shield. Bucky takes it. In the comics, both were Captain America, so there will probably be some playing around with it. A moment later, the accurate shot of Falcon’s face while he was flying looks like it could be the new equivalent of shooting Tony Stark inside his helmet when he spoke while flying.

Sharon Carter, who was last seen in Captain America Civil War, is finally back and she is totally bad and she is not only about to rescue Bucky and Sam, but I also think she will be a source of information. We saw on a T-shirt that she is “WANTED” for breaking Sokovia’s deals, so she is probably spending some time in Madripoor, maybe moving there during the blip if she hasn’t been taken, and knowing the bad streets. Whatever Bucky and Sam are looking for, she probably has some answers.

The US agent trots to a football field at some kind of big rally. This guy is going to be a government support as a new symbol of Captain America, but his real name is John Walker and he was a hero, but he was also a villain and I can see Sam wanting that shield from him and Baron Zemo wanting to use it to incite some kind of division.

At some point, Sam is getting that shield, because this picture of him with him is just incredible and I can’t wait for his entire outfit to be Falcon-Captain America. I don’t think he throws his shield at this explosion, I think Baron Zemo is behind it because he’s just hanging at the bottom of the picture, too cool to be a surprise for him.

A woman at Flag-Smashers, probably some high-ranking member and recurring character gets the best of Bucky, which may mean that she is an enhanced individual, and Bucky falls off the side of a truck and you just can’t help remembering how Bucky fell from a train and a mountain in Captain America: the first avenger. Given how manipulated your brain has been, you should ask yourself if this causes PTSD.

The trailer ends in a moment of advice from a cute couple, where they look at each other as if I’m looking at this trailer.
