Wolf will let 3-week COVID blocking measures expire on Monday | Pennsylvania News

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf is allowing the additional restrictions that were imposed almost three weeks ago to expire as expected on Monday morning.

He announced the end of temporary measures during an early afternoon news conference.

As of December 12, Wolf temporarily suspended school sports and other extracurricular activities, closed gyms, theaters and casinos, and banned meals in restaurants in response to the worsening pandemic.

All of these restrictions will expire at 8 am on Monday, January 4, Wolf said. This also includes the limit of 10 people in internal meetings and the limit of 25 people in external events.

“Now, that does not mean that we are out of danger,” he said during the news conference, emphasizing that all previous pandemic orders are still in effect.
