Wofford men’s basketball game on Thursday in South Carolina canceled

Wofford’s men’s basketball game scheduled for Thursday night in South Carolina was canceled due to positive COVID-19 tests on the USC program.

The tests were revealed on Tuesday and USC players with a positive result will be tested again on Wednesday, in addition to the rest of the list. The Gamecocks interrupted all activities of the basketball team until further tests come to light.

USC started 1-2 with defeats to Liberty and Tulsa sandwiched around a win over Tulsa. Wofford started 2-0 with dominant wins over Toccoa Falls and Carver before having games against North Carolina Central and Presbyterian College canceled. The Terriers lost an additional game on Monday against Richmond, ranked 19th, 77-72.

Wofford is scheduled to host Coastal Carolina at 6 pm on Tuesday. USC is scheduled to play at 6 pm Monday at George Washington, before hosting Clemson at midday on December 19.
