Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gets a quiet key reissue, but with an important difference

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt© CD Projekt Red

It was a big surprise when CD Projekt Red first announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition was coming to Switch in 2019. Including both expansions, Stone hearts and Blood and Wine, we were surprised to see that everything fit on a game card. If you were looking for just the basic game, this option was not available previously. So far.

Launched apparently without fanfare, now you can buy Witcher 3: Wild Hunt alone for £ 29.99 on Switch eShop. Players who already own the Standard Edition can redeem it for free, a move that we suspect is intended to prevent people from accidentally buying twice.

If you later decide that you want the individual DLCs, they will also be available separately. Hearts of Stone will cost £ 8.99, while Blood and Wine will cost £ 17.99. Altogether, it is more expensive than the Standard Edition at £ 56.97, but this method at least allows you to spread the cost.
