Today: It will be another mild January day, with temperatures around 30 degrees, and even a few degrees below possible 40 degrees. The sky will be partly cloudy to almost cloudy, but we are still dry with a southwest wind of 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight: Very cloudy with the possibility of irregular fog. Temperatures drop to 20 and will remain stable or rise in the morning. The wind is southwest 5-10 mph.
Thursday: Our next storm arrives from the northwest and will bring a chance of rain and a rain / snow mix tomorrow morning to afternoon. As a cold front passes, the cooler air moves and transitions everything to light snow. The accumulations at the beginning of the night will be a reduction of about 1 ”. That said, there can be a slippery trip. Temperatures between 30 and 30 degrees drop in the afternoon with a strong west / northwest wind of 15-25 mph, with higher gusts.
Thursday night to Friday night: Scattered snow showers will spiral around the low pressure area. These will be driven by the wind with northwest winds of 10-20 mph and gusts of up to 30+ mph. A slippery journey is expected, along with reduced visibility.
Snowfall by the time everything is said and done will be in the 1-3 ”range with locally highest amounts possible.
Temperatures will be cooler, but seasonal this weekend.
