Winners and losers of Day 1 of the free agency of the NFL

The first day of the NFL’s free agency was something else around the league. Hundreds of millions of cash being thrown around, despite the drop in revenue created by COVID-19.

Moving away from its MO, the New England Patriots spent more money on Monday than in any off-season in the past decade. It is clear that Bill Belichick and company want to return to relevance after their first losing season since 2000.

On the other hand, it seems that the Seattle Seahawks remained largely quiet while figuring out what to do with the disgruntled quarterback Russell Wilson. And while the Houston Texans made a ton of moves, none of them is likely to change Deshaun Watson’s stance.

Below, we see the biggest winners and losers of Day 1 from the free NFL agency.
