Winn-Dixie will begin distributing COVID-19 vaccines next week

ORLANDO, Fla. – Winn-Dixie supermarket will begin distributing the coronavirus vaccine free throughout Florida starting next week.

  • Winn-Dixie, Fresco y Mas and Harveys will begin distributing the vaccine in Florida next week

Parent company Southeast Grocers says it has received 8,100 Modern vaccines, which it will distribute under the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program, in partnership with the CDC, the United States Department of Health and Human Services and the Florida Department of Health.

Vaccines will be distributed free of charge in state Winn-Dixie, Fresco y Mas and Harveys supermarkets starting Thursday, February 11.


Vaccines will initially be given to healthcare professionals, residents and employees of long-term care facilities and adults 65 and older, in accordance with Florida guidelines.

A list of Winn-Dixie locations is not yet available, but a website has been created where customers can get more information and eventually schedule an appointment online, once the locations are available.
