When Apple first abandoned the built-in charger with the iPhone 12, Android OEMs like Samsung and Xiaomi scoffed at the company for doing so. We all know what happened after that. Both Samsung and Xiaomi removed the charger from the packaging of their respective flagships. Although the latter has still made the accessory optional, the South Korean brand seems to be opting for a charger-free approach to its phones. This begs the question – What will the OnePlus do? Will it include a charger with the OnePlus 9 phone series? Fortunately, we have an answer.
Responding to a comment in an official forum post triggering the OnePlus 9 series, CEO Pete Lau confirmed that the new phones will actually come with a charger inside the box.
OnePlus usually includes a Warp Charger with its main phones. The OnePlus 8T comes with a 65 W charge adapter, and the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro must also have the same.
Considering that the flagships of the OnePlus are getting more expensive with each passing year, it can be a relief for many to know that they will not have to shell out more for a fast wired charger this time.
