Harry and Jack Williams will serve as ‘Expiration Date’ writers for the streamer.
Will Forte is teaming up with Peacock for a suicide drama.
THE Last Man on Earth alum, who’s next is reliving MacGruber for the streamer, will star in Expiration date, a developing drama by Harry and Jack Williams.
Written and executed by the brothers, who Flea bag and Liar between your credits, Expiration date it revolves around Robin (Forte), a man who consumes himself in mourning and finds life insurance that covers suicide – as long as the individual does not carry out the action within a year. Glad that his family will be maintained, Robin sets his expiration date and contemplates how his last year will pass. It will be 12 months long.
“Harry and Jack Williams are two of the best creative minds in the industry,” said Lisa Katz, president of script at NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. “We are excited to develop this touching and unpredictable drama with them and continue to explore complex characters and stories. Having Will Forte in the lead role, as well as a production partner, takes this to the next level.”
From Universal Television supported by NBCU, the brothers will be executive producers through the banner of Two Brothers Pictures. Sarah Hammond and Forte are also executive producers. The London brothers have the BBC / Starz Emmy and BAFTA nominated drama The missing. His credits also include UK series One of us, liar and Fleabag. They are represented by UTA, Independent Talent Group in the United Kingdom and Gang Tire.

For Forte, however, Expiration date expands his relationship with Peacock. The actor is reprising his SNL sketch that became a Super Bowl ad that became a movie MacGruber (a riff in MacGyver) as a Peacock series. The comedy was among the first projects in Peacock’s early development and was chosen for the series in August. The comedy is set to debut this year on the streaming service. Forte is represented by UTA, Rise Management and Hansen Jacobson.
