Wild Hunt Reimagined as a PS1 game

Game developer Anders Lundbjörk shared a wonderful video that imagines what The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt it might have looked like if it had been released for the original PlayStation in the 1990s, instead of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2015. More specifically, Lundbjörk raised the infamous bath scene for his imaginary PlayStation launch with some selected changes. Although the PS1 version of Geralt of Rivia seems to be as interested in Gwent as its PS4 counterpart, some of his dialogues seem more in line with the 90s.

If this sounds familiar, it may be because it is not the first time that the game developer has taken a title from the CD Projekt Red and imagines what it would be like on the original PlayStation. Your version of Cyberpunk 2077 because the PS1 had a lot of traction last year, and for good reason. While Lundbjörk’s creations are not exact and individual replicas of real video games, they carry the spirit – and in some cases, wild flaws – found in real video games.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt itself is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions are expected | S be launched this year. You can check out all of our previous coverage of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt right here.
