The merchant in Valheim is a useful little merchant who will sell you exclusive items and even buy your valuable goods.
The world of Valheim is full of mysterious things, but one constant you can trust is the merchant. Known as Haldor, this dwarf dealer offers several products to purchase and will also be more than happy to buy the valuable items you probably collected during his caving.
Where to find the merchant
The trader Haldor appears to have been born in the Black Forest in Valheim. Whether he spawns in just one location is currently unknown, but I can say that he spawned on my initial island. To find the merchant, you will need to start exploring the Black Forest locations. As you approach it, a small bag icon will appear on your map. The radius for this is quite generous – I was sailing around the perimeter of my island when the icon appeared at the bottom of the forest.
When you can find Haldor, the merchant, you can buy a variety of items from him using gold coins. These are coins that you can collect from enemies, dungeons (like those where you find iron) and other sources. He will also buy amber and rubies from you and any other valuables.
Create a portal near Haldor so that you can quickly reach it from your base. Portals need Surtling cores to be created.

Haldor has some goods that you can buy with gold coins. These prices are quite high, so it may be a good idea to spend some time collecting gold coins and selling valuables.

For players starting their journey in Valheim, Haldor, the dealer, may not be worth finding right away. Their products are very expensive and their location is often difficult to reach.
