Where to buy N95, KN95 face masks, as COVID strains continue to mutate

Wearing a face mask in public has become the new normal and is also one of the most important things you can do to help prevent the spread of coronavirus – especially since more contagious strains have recently been discovered in Brazil, South Africa, Denmark and the UK.

The Center for Disease Control recommends using a face mask in public, and many companies require you to enter their premises.

“Masks are a simple barrier to help prevent your respiratory droplets from reaching other people,” says the CDC. “Studies show that masks reduce droplet spray when used on the nose and mouth.”

Duke University also published a study in August that states that the three most effective types of facial masks to prevent the spread of the coronavirus are N95, the disposable three-layer and cotton. There were 14 types of face masks used in the study.

An N95 mask “is a respiratory protection device designed to achieve a very close facial fit and very efficient filtration of airborne particles”, according to the FDA.

Finding N95 masks to buy can be difficult as they are in high demand, but many KN95 masks are available today. The main difference between the two is the KN95 masks normally regulated by the Chinese government, while the N95 masks are regulated by the US National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, according to a report by Men’s Health.

Here are the N95 and KN95 face masks currently available online.

Many surgical masks are also being sold in bulk at great prices – like this pack of 100 for less than $ 36 on Amazon.

There are also other options of face masks, from the company’s brand, such as Adidas and Under Armor, to those with sports themes that Fanatics sells.
