By all accounts and measures, Ohio has had a very successful year. Yes, the measure involves winning a Big Ten Championship (check), reaching the College Football Playoff (check) and winning a national championship (doh), but seeing how Buckeyes shouldn’t even play, let’s all take it.
It could have been an even more special year if the state of Ohio had not gone through a fad in the national championship game in Miami against Alabama. Bucks was short of players, but even with a full complement of players, it was highly unlikely that OSU would beat one of the best college football teams I have ever seen play in person.
That said, the latest S&P Rankings have been released and we need not say who is No. 1, who belongs to the Crimson Tide by a wide margin. However, things were much closer to that. So, where did the state of Ohio end when it comes to rating a team’s strength and a team’s predictive measure in the future? Well, we’re glad you asked.
