Do you want to know when your second stimulus check will arrive, how much money you will receive or if you are really eligible? Unfortunately, the IRS has not facilitated the discovery – yet.
The Get My Payment tool, which allows Americans to check the status of their check, is disabled, but is being updated and should be online in a few days, according to the IRS.
The good news: if you’re eligible for payment and have a direct deposit set up with the IRS, you may already see a payment in your account. The direct deposit started on December 29th. Paper checks were scheduled to start leaving on December 30th.
If you want to try to find out about your eligibility based on your income, here are the details: Congress passed a bill that provides $ 600 for individuals who earn up to $ 75,000 a year and $ 1,200 for couples who earn up to $ 150,000, with gradual payments for more income. An additional payment of $ 600 will be made per dependent child, similar to the last round of aid payments in the spring.
