Call of Duty: War zone leaks and rumors are on the rise, with all signs pointing to an imminent nuclear explosion that will destroy Verdansk. Here’s what we know about the event and, most importantly, when to expect it.
Warzone’s immense popularity has understandably led to immense expectations about the future of the game. We are rapidly approaching a year of Warzone, and its longevity seems like a pretty safe bet given the amount of player interest that remains.
It also looks like fans can expect a new map, with a plethora of tips and rumors pointing to a map of the Ural Mountains based on Black Ops Cold War’s Fireteam Dirty Bomb environments. However, the possible arrival of a new map, of course , raised questions about the former.

Date and time of the nuclear war zone event
Verdansk has been the scene of Warzone since the game’s release, undergoing some changes as the game’s narratives fade and flow. Now, however, the map appears to be seriously threatened, with all the leaks and rumors pointing to a nuclear event that will completely destroy the city.
What also seems likely is that the nuclear event will occur after the completion of the current Zombie Outbreak event. Teasers have suggested that the Zombies will leave the wreck site and take over the map, forcing the constituted powers to destroy it until oblivion.
In terms of the date for the event itself, March 11 was touted for some leaks, however, that was discarded and now it looks like it will happen in April. The exact date and time, however, are unknown.
Zombies in Warzone can be the trigger for the nuclear event – players must contain the outbreak and spread of the undead.
It is also important to remember that this event was not actually confirmed by Activision or Raven. There is a possibility, however small, that the event does not occur.
Given the prevalence of leaks and rumors, however, we can expect a nuclear event soon. Whether the Zombie narrative turned out to be correct is unclear, but fans shouldn’t have to wait much longer to find out.
