A new Apex Legends leak revealed what’s to come for Battle Royale on April Fool’s Day, and it looks like it’s going to be very hilarious, and maybe even a little boring – living up to the spirit of the day.
In recent years, multiplayer games have been leaning more and more into the spirit of April Fool’s Day with funny and unique jokes.
Some April Fool’s Day jokes completely changed the way a game is played, if only for a day, while others were also quite harmless. For example, Overwatch once made a change where all messages in the game were sent in capital letters.
Last year, Respawn joined the fun with a gold version of Mozambique, and it looks like this year too will be back, with some extras added.
Golden Mozambique throws a punch on April Fools’ Day.
Apex Legends April Fools’ Day changes
According to the trusted leaker Apex Legends Shrug, Respawn will bring the golden Mozambique back this year, as well as adding a golden version of the P2020 pistol that will do 190 damage if you are flying a zip line.
In addition, Shrugtal noted that there will be “many” gold weapons added as well. This could be Respawn again leaning towards something they did last year, increasing the rate of dropping certain weapons for everyone to participate in the joke.
Memes weapons aren’t the only additions, however. The leaker also noticed that there will be air horns and loot balls falling from the sky. This can make things annoying for some, but it should also provide us with some funny moments.
For this year’s April Fool’s Day, you can expect:
Gold Mozambique. (19 damage per ball, 9 rounds)
Gold P2020. (25 damage, +7 ammo, 190 damage while on a zip line / balloon)
Airhorns.
Many loot rolls raining down from the sky.
Many gold weapons …Fun.

As these changes will be for April Fool’s Day, you will have to go through the Apex on April 1st to experience them, otherwise you will lose them and will have to wait another year.
