NASHVILLE, Tennessee. (WTVF) – Whataburger has officially announced plans to open its first location in the Nashville area this fall.
Texas’ beloved hamburger chain is scheduled to open at the Hermitage at 5055 Old Hickory Boulevard and plans to open additional locations in the Nashville area in 2022. The company has not released an exact opening date.

NewsChannel 5 has previously learned that Middle Tennessee can get five locations in total: Murfreesboro, Gallatin, Lebanon, Madison and Hermitage.
Whataburger plans to hire more than 200 employees this year, including positions such as restaurant manager, general manager and area manager. The hiring of team members will begin in the summer. Those interested in signing up can click here for more information.
The journey to bring Whataburger back to Middle Tennessee has been long-awaited since the company closed its franchises in Nashville in the 1970s.
