The Ohio State basketball team went to Madison and defeated No. 10 in the Wisconsin Badgers ranking by 74-62. It was a huge recovery win after a game the Buckeyes lost to Purdue by two. One that looked very much like it should be on the winning column.
You don’t have to look far to understand what a great victory that was. Wisconsin had lost just one game at home by entering the competition and had a chance to grab exclusive possession of second place in the Big Ten.
Instead, the state of Ohio took care of business and remained among the top division of the Big Ten and within arms reach of Iowa, Wisconsin, Purdue and Illinois in a battle for second place.
Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard met with the media after the game to discuss what he saw from his team and the Buckeyes. He was quick to give credit to OSU. If you missed any of your comments, we post them here to thank the 247Sports Evan Flood YouTube channel.
Watch Gard discuss how difficult it is to protect the state of Ohio, how the Buckeyes got started quickly, Seth Towns and more.
