The Green Bay Packers released its first injury report ahead of Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The report featured 11 players, but all of the Packers’ active squad participated in some way during Wednesday’s practice, highlighting the overall health of Matt LaFleur’s team at this point in the season.
Here’s what you should know from the injury report:
– The running back rookie AJ Dillon was able to practice in a limited capacity. He injured his hip in the second half against the Los Angeles Rams last Saturday and did not return. His participation on Wednesday suggests that he will be able to play against the Bucs, save a setback.
– Kicker Mason Crosby was listed with a shoulder injury. He was injured in a failed attempt for an extra point against Rams, but ended the game. The Packers listed it as limited. The team can promote JJ Molson from the training team if Crosby is in danger of losing Sunday.
– Striker Kingsley Keke, who lost the last two games due to a concussion, practiced to a limited extent. A key situational passer, Keke may return on Sunday.
– Newbie linebacker Krys Barnes practiced despite suffering a thumb injury. He needed a cast to protect the injury last week against the Rams. The Packers are confident that he will play on Sunday.
– The running back Jamaal Williams is dealing with a new ankle injury. He was listed as a limited participant.
– Safety Will Redmond has a new knee injury, but participated in everything on Wednesday.
– Striker Jared Veldheer remains on the reserve list for COVID-19 and is not listed in the injury report.
– The Buccaneers performed step-by-step training on Wednesday, but receiver Antonio Brown (knee) and defensive side Jason Pierre-Paul (knee, uninjured) did not participate. Receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, running back Ronald Jones and cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting were limited.
