What is the team’s quarterback plan for 2021?

During an appearance on the NFL Network on Wednesday, James Palmer revealed the Denver Broncos quarterback’s plans for the off-season of 2021.

“They go after Deshaun Watson, if it will become available, and they will be aggressive, ” Palmer said.

Palmer went on to report that there is a “top group” of defenders that the team would be interested in pursuing. Denver made an effort to land Matthew Stafford and Palmer suggested that the team may also be interested in Russell Wilson if it becomes available (which seems unlikely).

Palmer did not mention him by name, but Dak Prescott it would also fall into the category of the best QBs if it is available.

Palmer said the Broncos are interested in being aggressive towards first-rate defenders, but the team is “lukewarm” in the lower-level QBs.

“They don’t believe that group is much better, perhaps, than Drew Lock is in their mind,” said Palmer.

To recap: Denver will chase the big name QBs available, but if they don’t get one, they’d rather stay with Lock than settle for an intermediate QB. That plan is expected to appease most fans in Denver.
