When it comes to new cameras, 2021 has already started with a bang, with the launch of the Fujifilm GFX 100S bringing high-level midrange features to unprecedented price levels, and Sony A1 pushing mirrorless full frame into exciting new realms. With 11 months to go and lots of exciting equipment rumors on the way, what can we expect? This great video discusses what we can see.
Coming from Dan Watson, this interesting video discusses the type of cameras that we can probably expect to see announced or launched this year. Undoubtedly, the GFX 100S and Sony a1 have already impressed many of us, but there is still much to come, like the Canon R1, the mirrorless equivalent of the flagship 1D. With the EOS R5 already showing such impressive capabilities, I’m really excited to see what the R1 is going to offer. Also expected is the a7 IV, the long-awaited follow-up to the popular a7 III, of which I was a huge fan when I analyzed it in 2018. It seems that there is a lot to expect; check out the video above to see all of Watson’s ideas.
