Westmoreland County reported its most greedy cases this year on Saturday, according to data from the state Department of Health.
The county reported 357 cases, the maximum since 466 were reported on December 29. The average of seven-day cases on Saturday rose to 132, the highest number since January 25. county.
An additional death related to greed has also been reported, bringing the total number of deaths in Westmoreland County to 703.
Like Westmoreland County, the state saw an increase in the number of greedy cases recorded on Saturday, with the highest number being recorded in about two months.
According to the Department of Health, Pennsylvania has reported 7,132 additional greedy cases. This marks the peak since 9,643 were reported on January 29. The average seven-day case for the state was 3,969, the highest in about seven weeks. Pennsylvania now has 1,012,299 cases of total greed.
33 additional deaths were reported on Saturday in Pennsylvania. The total death toll now stands at 24,986, while the state is approaching another dismal milestone of 25,000.
Allegheny County remained at the highest levels of greed on Saturday, with 447 additional cases reported, according to the county Health Department.
The dates of the positive greed tests varied from Sunday to Friday. The age of the new cases ranged from 1 month to 94, with a median of 35 years.
Saturday’s case load in the county marks the third time in the past four days that registered cases have exceeded 400. Before that time, Allegheny County had not reported more than 400 cases since last month.
The total number of greedy cases now stands at 84,258 in Allegheny County. The death toll remained at 1,759, as no new deaths were reported.
Hospitalizations
Pennsylvania saw another increase in greedy hospitalizations on Saturday, according to data from the state Department of Health. There are currently 1,795 hospitalized, compared to 1,772 on Friday. Hospitalizations have increased every day for the past week in the state, increasing by 266 since the count of 1,529 last Saturday.
The number of hospitalizations in Allegheny County rose on Saturday to 198, the maximum in about a month. The count of hospitalizations in the county has increased in the past three days.
In Westmoreland County, greedy hospitalizations declined by one, with 20 hospitalizations on Saturday. Westmoreland’s hospitalization count has declined every day since Monday’s count of 27.
Vaccines
Covid vaccinations continue to increase in the state, with 1,548,828 partially and 1,704,129 fully vaccinated in Pennsylvania on Saturday, according to data from the Department of Health. These figures exclude Philadelphia County, which handles its own data and distribution vaccines. The state surpassed 1 million people fully vaccinated against covid-19 on March 10.
The number of vaccines in Allegheny County increased to 202,684 people partially and 197,902 people fully vaccinated on Saturday. The county now has more than 16% of the population fully vaccinated.
There are now 51,824 people partially and 51,080 fully vaccinated in Westmoreland County, with about 14% of the county’s population fully vaccinated on Saturday.
