Michaels, the chain of craft stores at 808 Columbus Avenue, near 99th Street, is closing on January 30, if not earlier, according to an official. It is currently leaving the market, with 70% discount. And we hear that the store is full of bargain hunters.
“If you want to buy anything, come, because first come, first served,” said the official.
If the merchandise runs out, the store may close before January 30.
Compared to other chain stores, Michaels did relatively well financially during the pandemic – even buying stores from competitor AC Moore – but closed some stores.
