Wendy Williams leaves no stone unturned when it comes to telling the story of her life. As we wait on the edge of our seats for Lifetime’s debut Wendy Williams: the film and your documentary, Wendy Williams: what a mess, the former shock athlete is opening up about her difficult relationship with ex-husband Kevin Hunter.
During a conversation on Sirius XM’s The Jess Cagle Show, Williams revealed how toxic his relationship with Hunter has become. “We have been married for almost twenty-two years and have been together for twenty-five years. I don’t regret the day I met him [or] supporting him for all twenty-five years, ”she explains.
Williams then admits to knowing about Hunter’s alleged lover, Sharina Hudon, from the beginning of what she says was a fifteen-year-old case. “I knew Kevin was a serial cheater,” said Williams. “The first time I found out was while I was pregnant with our son lying in bed. I planned to divorce Kevin and sacrificed a lot of myself to succeed on the other side. Everything worked. “
Williams further explained that, as her son Kevin, who is now 20, grew up as an only child, she stayed with Hunter to maintain a solid family structure. Unfortunately, she says, Hunter was more committed to living in luxury than being a family man. “The more successful I was and he, and we believed in each other, the more stupid he became,” she says. “He used his good credit to buy a property he chose to drink and dine on in his extramarital affairs.”
Williams then claims that Hudson was just one of the many lovers that her ex-husband has had over the years. Hunter reportedly welcomed a girl to Hudson while still married to Williams, which prompted the TV presenter to file for divorce and never look back.
Williams and Hunter’s divorce was finalized in January 2020. At a news conference, Williams said he did not regret the tumultuous events of his life, including those involving his ex-husband and ex-manager. “I like who I am, so I don’t regret it. Anyway, I am extremely happy that I am still relevant enough to be able to take action behind the double doors and say. ‘How are you?’ and still be young, fun and relevant to pop culture. “
